Skydiving Plane Crashes Near Butler, Missouri, Killing 12
According to AP News, a private skydiving aircraft operated by Skydive Kansas City crashed shortly after takeoff from Butler Memorial Airport in Missouri, killing the pilot and all 11 skydivers on board. NBC News later reported that all twelve occupants were presumed dead. The New York Times identified the aircraft as a Pacific Aerospace P750, a single-engine turboprop used for skydiving operations. The Guardian confirmed the model and added that among the victims were a high-school music teacher, a cancer survivor and a new father.
