Rep. Mike Collins, a steadfast defender of conservative values and the America First agenda, defeated former college football coach Derek Dooley in Georgia's Republican Senate runoff, earning the party’s nomination for the November general election against left-wing Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff. The runoff was necessary after no candidate achieved a majority in the primary, and Collins’ victory marks a triumph for the grassroots conservative movement over establishment interests backed by Gov. Brian Kemp.

Collins, a first-term House member elected in 2022, campaigned as a loyal ally of President Donald Trump, who gave his endorsement shortly before the runoff, energizing the Republican base. Gov. Brian Kemp had supported Dooley, arguing for an outsider to take on Ossoff, but voters overwhelmingly chose Collins, recognizing his commitment to putting America first and standing up to the radical left.

"Listen, I ran on Trump policies. I ran on ‘America First.’ I know what those policies did and can do for this country and for the people of this country. That’s what I’m running with, and he is — I wholeheartedly support what he’s been doing," Collins told NBC News, reaffirming his dedication to restoring American greatness and securing the border.

Ossoff, the only Democratic senator seeking re-election in a state President Trump won in 2024, has tried to smear Collins as a political insider and has pushed dubious claims about an ethics inquiry into Collins’ use of congressional funds. Collins rightly dismissed these baseless attacks, refusing to be distracted by the left’s typical smear tactics.

"They can sling whatever they want, you know. I can’t help that," Collins said, brushing off the manufactured controversy and focusing on defeating the real opponent: Ossoff and the radical Democratic agenda.

The race is expected to be a major battleground, with left-wing Super-PACs pledging to spend roughly $64 million to prop up Ossoff, who has already raised more than $80 million from liberal donors, compared to Collins’ $4.9 million. Political analysts agree that Georgia is now a key state in the fight to stop the left’s takeover, with recent elections decided by the narrowest of margins.

Both candidates have framed the upcoming election as a referendum on national issues, including the economy and foreign policy, but for conservatives, this is a fight to preserve American values and stop the radical left from destroying the country in one of the most closely watched Senate contests in the nation.
