President Trump proposes that Muslim-majority nations join the Abraham Accords as a condition for an Iran peace agreement.

President Donald Trump has proposed that several Muslim-majority countries join the Abraham Accords as a condition for any agreement to end the war with Iran. In a social media post on Monday, Trump stated that negotiations with Iran are "proceeding nicely" but emphasized that a comprehensive deal would require broader participation in the U.S.-brokered agreements aimed at normalizing relations with Israel.

Trump specifically called on Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, and Jordan to sign the accords, suggesting that their inclusion would enhance the historic significance of the settlement with Iran. He noted that Egypt and Jordan have existing peace treaties with Israel, signed in 1979 and 1994 respectively.

The Abraham Accords were initially signed in 2020 by the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, with Morocco and Sudan joining later. Trump's proposal to expand the accords comes amid ongoing negotiations to end hostilities with Iran, which have faced criticism from some Republican lawmakers advocating for a tougher stance.

Trump also suggested that Iran could potentially become part of the Abraham Accords following a peace agreement, indicating a vision for a broader coalition aimed at fostering stability and economic growth in the Middle East.
