In an appearance on "Don’t @ Me with Dan Dakich" on Friday, Patrick described the loss as "devastating" for Busch's family and the racing community. She noted that Busch was a "polarizing figure" and an "incredible driver" who will be remembered as one of NASCAR's greatest.

Patrick highlighted Busch's exceptional driving skills, emphasizing his ability to reach a "next level" of focus and performance on the track. She remarked that his passion and speed set him apart, making him one of the best drivers in the sport.

Busch's family confirmed that he passed away due to severe pneumonia that progressed into sepsis. His death has prompted reflections within the NASCAR community on the pressures drivers face to compete even when unwell. Fellow racers have emphasized the importance of recognizing early signs of illness.
