Apple has agreed to a $250 million settlement in a class-action lawsuit alleging it misled consumers about the availability of advanced Siri features.

Apple has agreed to pay $250 million to settle a class-action lawsuit alleging the company misled consumers about the availability of advanced Siri features. The lawsuit claimed that Apple promoted AI capabilities for Siri that were not available at the time of the iPhone 16's release, leading customers to purchase devices under false pretenses.

The settlement covers approximately 36 million eligible devices, including iPhone 16, iPhone 16e, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max models purchased in the U.S. between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025. Eligible consumers who submit claim forms may receive payments of $25 per device, with potential increases up to $95 depending on the number of approved claims.

In a statement, Apple said: "We resolved this matter to stay focused on doing what we do best: delivering the most innovative products and services to our users."

The settlement awaits approval from Judge Noel Wise of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, with a hearing scheduled for June 17, 2026.
