Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni Settle 'It Ends With Us' Lawsuit
Actors Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have reached a settlement in their legal dispute over the 2024 film 'It Ends With Us,' ending allegations of misconduct and defamation.
Actors Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have settled their legal dispute concerning the 2024 film "It Ends With Us," concluding a series of allegations that included sexual harassment and defamation. The settlement was finalized on May 4, 2026, just two weeks before the scheduled trial in New York.
In December 2024, Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, who co-starred and directed the film, accusing him of sexual harassment and fostering a hostile work environment during production. Baldoni denied the allegations and countersued for defamation and extortion. In April 2026, a U.S. District Judge dismissed the majority of Lively's claims, including the sexual harassment allegations, leaving only breach of contract and retaliation claims pending trial.
The actors issued a joint statement expressing their commitment to respectful workplaces and support for survivors.
Following the settlement, Lively attended the 2026 Met Gala on May 5, wearing an archival Atelier Versace gown from 2006. She expressed honor in attending with Donatella Versace and emphasized the importance of standing in her current strength and confidence.
