Roommate Charged After Identification of USF Student's Remains
Two University of South Florida doctoral students, Nahida Bristy and Zamil Limon, were reported missing, prompting authorities to detain an individual connected to their disappearance. The suspect, a former USF student and roommate, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder after one student was found deceased and the other remained missing. During the investigation, authorities discovered human remains in Tampa Bay and revealed that the suspect had used ChatGPT to inquire about body disposal methods. The suspect's brother later expressed the family's regret and disclosed prior warnings given to police about his sibling's behavior.
Most recently, the remains of Nahida Bristy were positively identified, confirming her death. The roommate, Hisham Abugharbieh, faces charges related to both her death and that of Zamil Limon.
