Omani Foreign Minister Criticizes US-Israel Strikes on Iran, Urges Restraint
Oman's Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi condemns recent US-Israel military actions against Iran, calling for immediate ceasefire and return to diplomacy.
Oman's Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi has expressed strong disapproval of the recent joint military operations conducted by the United States and Israel against Iran. In a statement, Albusaidi described the actions as both "immoral and illegal," emphasizing that such measures undermine ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving regional tensions.
Albusaidi highlighted that the attacks occurred at a time when diplomatic initiatives were making significant progress toward a fair and honorable solution. He warned that continued hostilities could have serious consequences for regional security, maritime navigation, supply chains, and the global economy.
In response to the escalating conflict, Albusaidi called for an immediate ceasefire and a return to responsible regional diplomacy. He stressed that the door to diplomacy remains open and urged all parties to utilize available off-ramps to de-escalate the situation.
Oman, which has been serving as a mediator in indirect US-Iran talks, continues to advocate for peaceful resolutions and cautions against actions that could further destabilize the region.
