SpaceX Crew-12 Successfully Docks with International Space Station
SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft, carrying four astronauts, docked with the International Space Station on February 14, 2026, restoring the station's full crew capacity.
On February 14, 2026, at 3:15 p.m. EST, SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft autonomously docked with the International Space Station (ISS), delivering four astronauts for the Crew-12 mission. The crew comprises NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway, European Space Agency astronaut Sophie Adenot, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev.
The mission launched on February 13 at 5:15 a.m. EST from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida aboard a Falcon 9 rocket. The Crew-12 team is scheduled for an eight-month stay on the ISS, during which they will conduct scientific research aimed at preparing for human exploration beyond low Earth orbit and benefiting life on Earth.
This mission restores the ISS to its full seven-member crew capacity following the early return of the previous team due to a medical emergency. The Crew-12 astronauts will focus on experiments including studying pneumonia-causing bacteria to improve cardiovascular treatments, testing on-demand intravenous fluid generation technologies for future space missions, and examining how physical characteristics affect blood flow during spaceflight.
