Summary

A memorial statue for the late conservative activist Charlie Kirk was defaced with spray paint at Turning Point USA's Phoenix headquarters shortly after its unveiling.

Police responded to a report of vandalism at the Turning Point USA campus in Phoenix just before 9 a.m. on Sunday. The statue, unveiled on Sept. 10 to commemorate the first anniversary of the organization’s founder Charlie Kirk's death, was sprayed with red paint, and a nearby sign bore illegible markings and a frowning face drawn on the figure. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Phoenix police department or the Silent Witness tip line at 480-WITNESS.

"We are investigating the incident and appreciate any tips from the community," a police spokesperson said.
