Apple's online store experiences outage before iPhone 18 Pro pre-orders launch
Apple's U.S. online store went offline ahead of the scheduled 5 a.m. PT pre-order start for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, which are set to become available for purchase on September 12.
Apple's U.S. online store was unavailable shortly before the scheduled start of iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max pre-orders, which are set to open at 5:00 a.m. Pacific Time on Saturday, September 12. The outage occurred earlier than usual, prompting a notice on the website that read, "We love that early energy. Almost ready for you. Pre-order begins at 5:00 a.m. PT. See you soon."
The pre-order window will be open to customers in more than 65 countries and regions, including Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Japan, Mexico, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the United States. Both models will be offered in Burgundy, Glacier, Silver and Black, with storage options of 256 GB, 512 GB, 1 TB and 2 TB—the 2 TB tier appearing on the smaller Pro model for the first time.
In the United States, the iPhone 18 Pro is priced from $1,199, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at $1,299. Delivery and in-store availability are slated to begin on Friday, September 18.
