Powerball Jackpot Reaches $1.1 Billion After No Winner in Saturday Drawing

Summary

The Powerball jackpot has climbed to $1.1 billion for the upcoming Labor Day drawing after no ticket matched all six numbers in Saturday's draw.

The Powerball jackpot has surged to an estimated $1.1 billion for the upcoming Labor Day drawing on Monday, September 1, 2025, following Saturday's draw where no ticket matched all six numbers. This marks the fifth-largest jackpot in the game's history.

The winning numbers from Saturday's drawing were 3, 18, 22, 27, 33, and the red Powerball 17. Despite no jackpot winner, several players secured significant prizes. Notably, two tickets sold in California—one in Milpitas and another in Pleasant Hill—matched the first five numbers, each earning approximately $1.16 million under the state's pari-mutuel rules. The Milpitas ticket was purchased at a 7-Eleven on Clearlake Avenue, while the Pleasant Hill ticket came from a Mobil gas station on Oak Park Boulevard.

Nationwide, nine tickets matched all five white balls, with four sold in California. Due to the state's pari-mutuel system, these winners will receive $1,165,399 each. In total, 696,837 winning tickets were sold in California on Saturday, with prizes ranging from modest sums to seven figures.

The Powerball jackpot has been rolling since May 31, when a ticket in California won $206 million. If a player wins the upcoming Monday drawing, they can choose between an annuitized prize of $1.1 billion, paid over 30 years, or a lump sum of $498.4 million, both before taxes.
