Apple raises prices of previous-generation iPhones by $100

Summary

Apple increased the selling price of its older iPhone models by $100 following its recent product launch event.

Apple announced a $100 price hike for its remaining inventory of prior-generation iPhones after the recent launch of the iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro. The iPhone 16, which was priced at $699 last week, is now listed at $799. The iPhone 17E with 256 GB of storage rose from its launch price of $599 to $699, while the base iPhone 17 with the same storage increased from $799 to $899. The iPhone Air also saw its price rise from $999 to $1,099.

The company did not present a base iPhone 18 model at the September event, focusing instead on higher-end variants that start at $1,199. As a result, consumers seeking a lower-priced iPhone will face higher costs than the day before.
