LSU Completes Roster, Adding Two Fifth-Year Players After Eligibility Rulings
Louisiana State University added two fifth-year players to its football roster, bringing the total to 105, following a judge's decision on the eligibility of two former NFL signees.
Louisiana State University announced the addition of two fifth-year players, Aiden Anding and Gabriel Reliford, to its football roster, bringing the total number of players to 105. The moves come after a Baton Rouge judge granted eligibility to former NFL hopefuls Dae’Quan Wright and Zxavian Harris, who had signed as undrafted free agents with the Philadelphia Eagles, Cleveland Browns and New Orleans Saints before being released.
"Wright and Harris are reviewing legal options," said Louisiana plaintiffs’ attorney Ryan Downton.
The eligibility decisions may affect pending discussions within the SEC, where a vote to potentially expel LSU could be scheduled, requiring a majority of 11 member schools to pass.
