The Powerball jackpot has climbed to an estimated $1 billion for the upcoming Saturday drawing, marking the sixth time in the game's history it has reached this milestone.

The winning numbers drawn on Saturday, August 30, were 3, 18, 22, 27, 33, and the red Powerball 17.

No ticket matched all six numbers, resulting in the jackpot rolling over to an estimated $1.1 billion for the next drawing on Monday, September 1.

The jackpot has been growing since May 31, 2025, when it was last won in California. This marks the 39th consecutive drawing without a grand prize winner.

Players can choose between an annuitized prize of $1.1 billion, paid over 30 years, or a lump sum payment estimated at $498.4 million, both before taxes.

Powerball tickets are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Each ticket costs $2 per play.

The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 24.9.

The next drawing is scheduled for Monday, September 1, at 10:59 p.m. ET, and will be broadcast live from the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee.
