The Republican National Committee is energizing its base with a public lottery for free seats and premium donor packages as it prepares for a major Dallas convention led by President Trump, showcasing party unity and momentum ahead of November.
The Republican National Committee is ramping up excitement for its upcoming Dallas convention, announcing a public lottery for free tickets that will give lucky supporters front-row seats and VIP treatment. The highly anticipated four-day event, scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday at the American Airlines Center, is expected to attract about 20,000 enthusiastic attendees, demonstrating the party’s robust grassroots support.
In addition to the lottery, the RNC is offering exclusive donor packages, including a $250,000 round-table seat with President Donald Trump and an optional commemorative photo for $88,600, allowing top supporters to be part of history. The $20,000 “honorary delegate” tier comes with a Texas shirt and cowboy hat, celebrating the spirit of the Lone Star State. The convention will feature 109 speakers, with JD Vance delivering the keynote on Wednesday and President Trump making appearances both evenings, culminating with his address on Thursday.
While a handful of Republican officeholders have chosen not to attend, such as Representative Tom Barrett of Michigan, who said, "I can't control what the president's going to say at the convention, but I can control where I'm at," the vast majority of the party remains united and energized. Senate Majority Leader John Thune is expected to attend important fundraisers, and while First Lady Melania Trump is not on the speaker roster, the event’s lineup remains strong.
RNC Chairman Joe Gruters described the schedule as an "action-packed" two-day program that will lay out the party’s bold agenda and highlight the stakes for the crucial November election. President Trump has promoted the gathering on his social platform, calling it the "Greatest Rally" and promising music and extended appearances to fire up supporters.
The Dallas location is a strategic choice to boost Texas Senate candidate Ken Paxton, who is in a closely watched race. Despite media attempts to downplay Republican momentum, a Reuters/Ipsos poll released in late August showed Trump’s approval rating at 33 percent, but the party remains confident in its vision and the enthusiasm of its base.
