Former Every Time I Die guitarist collapses during Pennsylvania wrestling event

Resumen

Andy Williams, also known as The Butcher, collapsed and required CPR during a tag team match in Millvale, Pennsylvania, prompting the cancellation of the remainder of the show.

Former Every Time I Die guitarist Andy Williams, who also wrestles under the name The Butcher, collapsed while participating in a tag team match at an Enjoy Wrestling event in Millvale, Pennsylvania, on Saturday night. Witnesses said his legs buckled and he fell to the floor, after which his partner The Blade tried to assist before Williams passed out again. Attendees reported that a defibrillator was used and medical staff performed CPR until an ambulance arrived.

Enjoy Wrestling released a statement saying its on-site doctors attended to Williams immediately and that the five-year anniversary show was halted, with the remaining matches cancelled. The promotion said it sent the audience home and that Williams was taken to a hospital for further evaluation.

Williams had been scheduled to appear in a wrestling seminar with The Blade earlier that week. Outside the ring, he is active with the metalcore band Atomic Rule, which recently announced progress on new recordings. The 48-year-old was a founding member of Every Time I Die, remaining with the group until its 2021 disbandment.
