Former Staffers of Sen. John Fetterman Announce Plans to Release Additional Information

सारांश

A group of former campaign and Senate staffers for Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman said they will disclose further details about his office after a Wall Street Journal report on his attendance and duties.

A newly created X account identifying itself as "Former Fetterman Staffers" (FFS) announced that it will publish more information about Senator John Fetterman's office in the coming weeks. The group said the upcoming release will follow a Wall Street Journal story that described the senator as frequently missing constituent meetings, avoiding legislative review and limiting public appearances in Pennsylvania.

"There is a lot I could say about this report of John Fetterman’s behavior as a senator," Rep. Chris Deluzio wrote on X, adding that the report highlighted concerns about the senator’s sense of duty.

"John Fetterman is a disgrace," Rep. Brendan Boyle said in a separate post.

"This report is horrifying, but not new to many of us in PA. John barely showed up as Lieutenant Governor and is constantly MIA as our senator," Pennsylvania state Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta wrote.

Former congressional candidate Conor Lamb also called for the senator’s resignation, referencing a missed meeting with veterans. The FFS account indicated that its first disclosure is scheduled for September 14, when the Senate reconvenes, and suggested a possible follow-up on September 15.

The announcement prompted criticism from some commentators who described the former staffers’ actions as disloyal. Political analyst Marc Thiessen and Republican Governors Association political director Mark Morgan questioned the anonymity of the group and urged the staffers to resign quietly if they disagreed with the senator.

Senator Fetterman's office did not respond to a request for comment.
