Patriots coach Mike Vrabel says he has no comment on Athletic's review of reporter Dianna Russini
The Athletic concluded that Dianna Russini's relationship with Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel violated its standards, but found no evidence she used her platform to benefit him. Vrabel said he had no reaction to the findings.
The Athletic released the results of an internal review of its reporter Dianna Russell's coverage after photos surfaced showing a multi-year relationship with New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel. The investigation, led by Mike Semel, determined that the relationship breached the publication's standards, though it did not uncover a direct link indicating Russini used her reporting to promote Vrabel or his teams. The review noted that some of Russini's favorable comments about Vrabel appeared "awkward or even uncomfortable."
When asked at a press conference whether he had any reaction to the findings, Vrabel responded, "No, I don’t have any reaction. We’re moved on and focused on Seattle and focused on the Patriots and focused on getting better this week."
