Google adds new Android tools for item tracking, motion-sickness aid and AI-driven assistance

Summary

Google updated its Gemini AI to work with Find Hub for locating objects, introduced Motion Assist for motion-sickness relief, and added AI-powered Live Guide and Keep integration in Messages.

Google expanded the capabilities of its Gemini AI on Android by linking it with Find Hub, a tool that can store the location of physical items. Users can ask, for example, “Hey Google, remember that I left my spare key inside the hollowed-out copy of Infinite Jest on my bookshelf,” and the system will retain that information.

The update also includes Motion Assist, an accessibility feature designed to reduce motion-sickness while traveling in a car, and a Live Guide feature that uses AI to describe the surroundings in front of the user. Additionally, Google Messages now integrates with Keep, allowing users to create and share shopping or packing lists directly within the messaging app.

These enhancements are part of the latest Android drop, aimed at providing practical, everyday improvements for a broad range of devices, not limited to the newest Pixel models.
