Powerball Jackpot Reaches $950 Million After No Winner in Wednesday's Drawing
The Powerball jackpot has increased to $950 million for the upcoming Saturday drawing, following no grand prize winner in Wednesday's draw.
The Powerball jackpot has risen to an estimated $950 million for the upcoming Saturday drawing, following no grand prize winner in Wednesday's draw. The winning numbers for August 27 were 9, 12, 22, 41, 61, and the red Powerball 25, with a Power Play multiplier of 4.
While the jackpot remained unclaimed, several significant prizes were awarded. Six tickets matched all five white balls to win $1 million each, sold in Arizona, New York, and Virginia. Additionally, three tickets in Mississippi, Ohio, and Virginia included the Power Play option, doubling their winnings to $2 million.
The upcoming drawing on Saturday, August 30, will be the 39th since the jackpot was last won on May 31, 2025, in California. If a player wins Saturday's jackpot, they will have the choice between an annuitized prize estimated at $950 million or a lump sum payment estimated at $428.9 million, both before taxes.
Powerball tickets cost $2 per play and are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET from the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee.
