Ariana Grande ends 41-show Eternal Sunshine Tour in London, announces hiatus
Ariana Grande concluded her Eternal Sunshine Tour at London's O2 arena and said she will step back from public appearances for a break.
Ariana Grande wrapped up her 41-date Eternal Sunshine Tour on Tuesday night at the O2 arena in London, marking the start of a planned hiatus from public engagements. The singer thanked fans for making the shows "so special" and described the tour as "one of the most beautiful, extraordinary experiences" of her life.
Grande, who announced in August that she would take a "step back from visibility" amid ongoing public scrutiny, said she hopes to finish the tour "on a high note, both healthily and happily" before taking a "much-deserved break" from public-facing work.
She performed in knee-high boots after revealing she was wearing a bandage for a minor foot injury sustained earlier in the tour. The Eternal Sunshine Tour, which supports her 2024 album of the same name, began in June in Oakland, California, and was billed as "one last hurrah" before she shifts focus to acting projects.
Grande, an Oscar nominee for her role as Glinda in the musical film "Wicked," had been scheduled to appear in a London revival of Stephen Sondheim's "Sunday in the Park With George" with co-star Jonathan Bailey, but withdrew from the production last month.
