Snedeker and Ogilvy finalize Presidents Cup rosters ahead of Medinah showdown
U.S. captain Brandt Snedeker and International captain Geoff Ogilvy announced their 12-man squads for the 2026 Presidents Cup, with the United States seeking a 10th straight victory at Medinah Country Club.
U.S. captain Brandt Snedeker and International captain Geoff Ogilvy each named six captain's picks on Tuesday, completing the 12-player rosters for this fall's Presidents Cup at Medinah Country Club. The United States, which defeated the International team 18.5-11.5 in Montreal in 2024, will aim to extend its winning streak to ten matches.
The American side is led by Scottie Scheffler, fresh from a Tour Championship win, and includes automatic qualifiers Cameron Young, Wyndham Clark, Sam Burns, Russell Henley and Collin Morikawa. Snedeker added Chris Gotterup, Xander Schauffele, Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantlay, Jacob Bridgeman and rookie Jackson Koivun, the latter having secured his first PGA Tour victory weeks after turning professional. Koivun becomes the second-youngest U.S. player ever selected for the event.
International captain Geoff Ogilvy’s team features top qualifier Si Woo Kim, four-time major winner Ryan Fox, Hideki Matsuyama, Min Woo Lee, Tom Kim and veteran Adam Scott, who ties Phil Mickelson for the most Presidents Cup appearances at twelve. Ogilvy’s captain's picks are Corey Conners, Nicolas Echavarria, Nick Taylor, Sungjae Im, Ryo Hisatsune and Christiaan Bezuidenhout. Echavarria is the only pick among them who won on tour this season.
Both captains will now prepare their squads for the competition later this month, with the United States looking to maintain its decade-long dominance.
