Jax Taylor Seeks Restraining Order Against Ex-Wife Brittany Cartwright

Reality television personalities Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright have escalated their legal conflict as Taylor filed a petition for a restraining order against Cartwright. The filing, obtained by court records, seeks to prohibit Cartwright from contacting Taylor and their two-year-old son, Cruz, citing concerns for personal safety.

Taylor’s request follows a series of court actions, including Cartwright’s earlier temporary restraining order and a recent petition by Taylor for sole legal and physical custody of Cruz. In his filing, Taylor also contested the validity of their marriage, a clerical error his representative said would be corrected.

Cartwright, who has spoken publicly about her separation and mental-health needs, denied that infidelity was the cause of their split and emphasized that both parents remain committed to Cruz’s well-being. "He's number one and we both agree on that," she said in a prior interview.

Both parties have previously discussed therapy and personal challenges, with Taylor acknowledging inpatient treatment for mental-health issues earlier this year. Their ongoing dispute continues to be monitored by their legal teams as the case proceeds through the court system.
