Jim Thornton, the voice of "Wheel of Fortune," has been placed on suspension while Sony Pictures Television Studios investigates allegations stemming from an incident on an American Airlines flight.
"Wheel of Fortune" announcer Jim Thornton has been suspended pending a thorough investigation, Sony Pictures Television Studios said. > "We have recently been made aware of allegations concerning Jim Thornton. He has been suspended from Wheel of Fortune, and we are recasting while we conduct a thorough investigation," a studio spokesperson told Fox News Digital.
Thornton, who has voiced the show since 2011 after succeeding the late Charlie O’Donnell, is alleged to have been involved in a disturbance on an American Airlines flight on May 14, according to reports cited by TMZ.
