Nvidia's Upcoming Earnings Report Amid Analyst Optimism and Export Challenges
Nvidia is set to release its quarterly earnings, with analysts anticipating record sales despite potential impacts from export restrictions.
Nvidia is scheduled to announce its second-quarter earnings after the market closes on Wednesday. Analysts project adjusted earnings per share of $1.02 and revenue of $46.45 billion, marking a significant year-over-year increase.
The company has faced challenges due to export restrictions to China, which could result in an $8 billion revenue impact. Despite this, Nvidia recently secured a 15% revenue-sharing agreement with the U.S. government to resume sales of its H20 chip in China.
Analysts remain optimistic about Nvidia's prospects. Of the 14 analysts surveyed by Visible Alpha, 13 have rated the stock as a "buy," with price targets ranging from $155 to $225. Morgan Stanley analysts noted, "Expectations have risen ahead of Nvidia's earnings, and we think rightfully so," raising their target to $206 from $200.
Nvidia's stock has climbed nearly 2% recently and has increased over 30% year-to-date.
