Chris Hansen critiques Robert Pattinson's portrayal in upcoming A24 film

Resumen

Chris Hansen said Robert Pattinson's depiction of him in the A24 drama-thriller "Primetime" is overly dramatic but acknowledges the trailer shows a decent imitation, while also noting he was asked to sign a broad legal waiver before a private screening.

Chris Hansen told Entertainment Tonight that Robert Pattinson’s portrayal of him in the forthcoming A24 drama-thriller "Primetime" is "overly dramatic," though he conceded the trailer demonstrates a fairly accurate imitation. Hansen added that his wife and family also thought the performance was a good likeness.

"He’s saying things I never said and doing things I never did, and that’s not who I am. I’m a nice guy, except when it comes to criminals and predators," Hansen said, urging viewers to remember the film is a fictionalized account based on real events.

Hansen later claimed that when he visited A24’s offices for a private screening, he was asked to sign a legal agreement that would relinquish his rights to his name, image and brand, as well as any potential legal claims arising from the movie. He said he refused to sign and therefore was not shown the film.

A source close to A24 indicated that Hansen was asked to sign a standard nondisclosure agreement required of all preview audiences for unreleased projects. Representatives for Pattinson did not respond to requests for comment.
