Jelly Roll Responds to Fox News Host's Ozempic Comment During Jimmy Kimmel Live! Monologue

Summary

Country singer Jelly Roll mocked a Fox News segment that linked his weight loss to Ozempic and “Trump Derangement Syndrome” while guest-hosting “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”.

Country singer Jelly Roll, a Grammy winner serving as guest host on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", reacted to a Fox News clip in which commentator Jesse Watters suggested the artist’s criticism of President Donald Trump stemmed from "Trump Derangement Syndrome" caused by the weight-loss drug Ozempic. During his monologue, Jelly Roll joked about the president’s trade policies and said his jokes about Trump had drawn reactions from both political sides.

He referenced the Fox segment, which aired footage of Watters labeling the syndrome as “one of the most infectious mind viruses sweeping the nation” and warning that Ozempic could increase its risk. Jelly Roll told the studio audience that Ozempic was “the only drug I haven’t tried,” adding that he lost weight through diet, exercise and, humorously, “cocaine.”

"They should put a warning label on Ozempic. Side effects can include increased risk of TDS. If you notice signs like irritability, depression and trouble sleeping, please see a doctor," Watters said in the clip.

Jelly Roll also noted that his jokes about Trump’s weight had sparked controversy and suggested a parody weight-loss product called “Donjaro” aimed at the president. The episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" aired weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET on ABC.
