Powerball Jackpot Reaches $750 Million Ahead of Monday Drawing
The Powerball jackpot has climbed to an estimated $750 million, with the next drawing scheduled for Monday night.
The Powerball jackpot has surged to an estimated $750 million, making it the game's 10th largest grand prize to date. The cash value of the jackpot is approximately $338.6 million. The next drawing is scheduled for Monday night.
In the drawing held on Saturday, August 23, the winning numbers were 11, 14, 34, 47, 51, with the red Powerball number 18. The Power Play multiplier was 2. While no ticket matched all six numbers, two tickets sold in Maine and New York matched all five white balls, each winning $1 million. A third ticket sold in South Dakota also matched all five white balls and, by including the Power Play option for an additional $1, doubled its winnings to $2 million.
Additionally, 31 tickets won $50,000 prizes, and five tickets won $100,000 prizes in Saturday's drawing.
Monday's drawing will be the 37th since the jackpot was last won in California on May 31, 2025. If a player wins the upcoming jackpot, they can choose between an annuitized prize estimated at $750 million, paid over 30 years with annual increases, or a lump sum payment estimated at $338.6 million. Both options are before taxes.
Powerball tickets are priced at $2 per play and are available in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Since its inception in 1992, Powerball has contributed over $36 billion to various good causes supported by U.S. lotteries.
Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET from the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee. The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 24.9, while the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
