Rockstar to debut Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay on Netflix, followed by additional creator preview
Rockstar Games will stream an extended gameplay preview of Grand Theft Auto VI on Netflix Thursday at 3 p.m. ET, with a YouTube release later and a separate creator-led impression to follow.
Rockstar Games plans to showcase its first Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay footage in an "extended look" on Netflix at 3 p.m. Eastern Time on Thursday, August 27. The same material will be uploaded to YouTube at 9 p.m. ET.
In addition to the Netflix event, a creator-press preview is scheduled to air shortly after the streaming special ends. YouTuber TGG, who has more than two million followers, announced on Twitter that he attended a private meeting at Rockstar North in Edinburgh last month and will share exclusive impressions once the Netflix segment is released.
The creator preview is expected to be a hands-off presentation, with attendees viewing pre-recorded gameplay rather than playing the game directly. Details about any additional footage captured for the event have not been disclosed.
Rockstar issued a statement earlier in the day addressing recent leaks of story content, describing them as "heartbreaking" and noting that the source of the leaks has not yet been stopped.
