Three Secret Service officials placed on leave as agency probes misconduct and notes Iran threat to Barron Trump

Summary

The Secret Service placed three officials on administrative leave pending a misconduct investigation and confirmed it is monitoring a video that threatens President Trump’s son, Barron.

The U.S. Secret Service placed three of its officials on administrative leave on Tuesday while an internal review into possible misconduct proceeds. The agency’s Office of Professional Responsibility began the review the same day but did not disclose the nature of the alleged violations. The three employees are not assigned to law-enforcement duties, according to the agency’s public information office.

Separately, the Secret Service said it is aware of a video that depicts locations linked to Barron Trump and offers a $10 million reward for information about his whereabouts. The agency is investigating the material as a potential threat to its protectees.

"The U.S. Secret Service is aware of the video and investigates anything that can be perceived as a threat toward our protectees," spokesperson Nate Herring told Fox News Digital.

"Out of concern for operational security, we do not discuss matters of protective intelligence," Herring added.

Deputy Director Matt Quinn previously noted that Iran has publicly expressed hostile intentions toward President Trump and his family. The agency’s statement comes amid broader concerns about foreign threats and ongoing security assessments.
