Apple may limit iPhone 18 Pro price rise to about $100
Analysts expect the iPhone 18 Pro to launch with a modest $100 price increase, keeping the base model around $1,199, according to a Bloomberg report.
Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro at its upcoming September event. While component cost pressures have led some analysts to forecast a base price of $1,299 or $1,399, a Bloomberg report citing industry observations suggests the company may raise the price by roughly $100, placing the entry-level model at $1,199. The analysis notes that Apple is monitoring price adjustments made by Samsung and Google, which recently increased their flagship phone prices by a similar amount. A smaller increase would allow Apple to absorb part of the higher memory and camera costs while limiting impact on gross margins, which the company has indicated are under pressure this quarter. The report adds that larger storage variants could see higher price bumps of $150 to $200.
