Teen son of former 'Real Housewives' star booked on aggravated sexual battery charges
Kim Zolciak's 15-year-old son, Kroy Biermann Jr., was arrested and booked on felony charges of aggravated sexual battery and aggravated sodomy, with his case to be heard in adult court.
A booking photograph of Kroy Biermann Jr., 15, was released after the Alpharetta Police Department processed the teenager on August 17. The image shows the boy in a black shirt looking straight ahead. Police arrested him on allegations of aggravated sexual battery and aggravated sodomy stemming from an incident on April 23 involving a female classmate at a Life Time Fitness facility in Alpharetta. Investigators say the teen allegedly led the girl into a family changing area, restrained her and forced unwanted sexual contact. The alleged victim later underwent a medical examination, which reportedly found no male DNA.
Georgia's SB440 law permits adult courts to handle certain felony charges against minors, and prosecutors have charged Biermann Jr. as an adult. He remains detained without bond in a youth detention center, with a Fulton County Superior Court judge scheduled to hear the case in September.
Kim Zolciak issued a statement through TMZ, denying the allegations against her son and asserting that he took a polygraph test and passed, and that DNA testing found no evidence linking him to the alleged crime. She urged the public not to form conclusions based solely on the accusations.
Authorities have not disclosed further details, and the investigation continues.
