Apple prepares updated 24-inch iMac with M6 chip and new colors

Apple is reportedly working on a new 24-inch iMac that will replace the current M4-based model introduced in October 2024. The upcoming version is expected to feature the next-generation M6 chip and will be available in additional color choices, though specific shades have not been disclosed. The existing iMac lineup offers seven colors, including green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue and silver. No major redesigns are anticipated, and a separate 24-inch iMac with an OLED display is said to be several years away. > "All signs point to the M6 models being close to launch," Gurman wrote, adding that the new iMacs could arrive before the end of the year.
