Seahawks face Titans in preseason matchup as rookies and depth players seek roles
Seattle will host Tennessee in a nationally televised preseason game, with attention on rookie Jadarian Price, the quarterback rotation and several receivers and defensive backs competing for roster spots.
Seattle will open its 2026 preseason against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday night in Nashville, with the game broadcast nationally. The Titans, led by new head coach Robert Saleh, are expected to field starters, while Seattle may limit participation for some players as it evaluates depth.
Rookie running back Jadarian Price, who missed the previous preseason game with a minor injury, returned to full practice this week. Coach Mike Macdonald must decide whether to give Price any snaps on Sunday or preserve him for the upcoming game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Quarterbacks Drew Lock and Jalen Milroe will continue to share playing time, a rotation the team used in the prior preseason contest. The coaching staff is expected to give Milroe additional opportunities, potentially including a first-half start, to assess his development relative to Lock.
Wide receiver Montorie Foster Jr. could see increased action after Jake Bobo’s knee injury and Tory Horton’s continued absence left the Seahawks thin at the position. Foster performed well in the previous game against Dallas, and the team may also use him on special-teams duties.
Defensive back Trevon Diggs, a recent free-agent signing, is competing for a roster spot. It remains unclear how many defensive snaps he will receive, as the Seahawks have already used Nehemiah Pritchett, Shemar Jean-Charles and Noah Igbinoghene in the first half of recent games.
The preseason also offers a chance to evaluate the depth of Seattle’s pass rush beyond its four primary edge players—Derick Hall, DeMarcus Lawrence, Uchenna Nwosu and Boye Mafe. Coaches may test players such as Connor O’Toole, Jalan Gaines or Mike Morris to gauge their readiness.
The game will provide insight into which younger players could earn roles for the regular season as the Seahawks finalize their roster.
