Teen son of reality TV star arrested on sexual assault charges in Georgia
Fifteen-year-old Kroy Biermann Jr., son of former "Real Housewives of Atlanta" cast member Kim Zolciak, was taken into custody on aggravated sodomy and sexual battery allegations and is being held without bond.
Georgia authorities arrested 15-year-old Kroy Biermann Jr., the son of former "Real Housewives of Atlanta" participant Kim Zolciak, on charges of aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual battery. Police records show the arrest occurred on August 17 and the teen is being detained at the Metro Regional Youth Detention Center without bond.
The incident stems from a complaint filed by a minor who said she was assaulted in a changing room at a Life Time fitness center in Alpharetta. An Alpharetta police officer responded to the report on April 24 at North Fulton Hospital, where the victim identified Biermann Jr. as the alleged assailant. An investigation led to an arrest warrant issued several months later. In May, officers spoke with Kroy Biermann Sr., who indicated he would discuss the case with his estranged wife.
Zolciak told Us Weekly that her son denies the allegations, stating he took a polygraph test and that DNA testing did not match him. A preliminary hearing is set for September.
