Teen son of former reality TV star arrested on aggravated sexual offense charges

Alpharetta police announced that 15-year-old Kroy Biermann Jr. was arrested on Aug. 17 and charged as an adult with aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual battery in connection with an alleged incident at a local gym in April. Biermann is the son of former "Real Housewives of Atlanta" personality Kim Zolciak and former Atlanta Falcons player Kroy Biermann.

Zolciak issued a statement saying her son "categorically denies" the accusations and that an examination found no DNA belonging to him. She added that the alleged victim has made similar claims involving two other people, urging that each allegation be investigated based on facts and evidence.

Biermann's attorney argued that the case should not be publicly disseminated because it involves juveniles, asserting his client's innocence and citing a passed polygraph test and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's report indicating no male DNA was found. The lawyer asked the public to refrain from presuming the truth of the allegations and to respect the privacy of both families.
