Bunnie XO says post-divorce life is a blessing and still hopes for a baby
The author and podcaster discussed her recent divorce, her view of the separation as a positive turning point, and her continued desire to have a child, possibly with her estranged husband.
Bunnie XO, author of several best-selling books and host of the "Dumb Blonde" podcast, told the TODAY show on Aug. 20 that she considers her life after filing for divorce from rapper Jelly Roll a positive development. The couple’s divorce was filed on May 18 in Williamson County, Tennessee, two months before their ten-year wedding anniversary.
During the interview, XO said she remains interested in becoming a parent and plans to write about the experience in her upcoming book. She did not specify whether she intends to have the child with her former husband, though she noted that the pair had previously announced they were trying to conceive via in-vitro fertilization and had experienced the loss of four embryos.
XO also commented on her personal outlook, emphasizing the importance of self-care and independence after the split. She described the increased attention she receives on social media as “a smorgasbord” of messages and expressed gratitude for the support she receives from fans.
Jelly Roll’s court filing cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce. Both parties have spoken publicly about the separation, but no further details about co-parenting arrangements have been confirmed.
