Target forecast $2.33 earnings per share and $26.14 billion revenue for fiscal Q2 2026
Analysts expect Target Corp. to report earnings of $2.33 per share on revenue of $26.14 billion for the fiscal second quarter, reflecting the retailer's ongoing turnaround under CEO Michael Fiddelke.
Target Corp. is slated to release its fiscal second-quarter results on Wednesday, offering investors a view of the retailer's progress after a recent rebound in same-store sales. Analysts surveyed by LSEG project earnings of $2.33 per share and revenue of $26.14 billion for the quarter.
The company posted a 5.6% increase in comparable sales in the prior quarter, its first positive figure in five quarters, and raised its full-year revenue outlook while maintaining a cautious stance amid market uncertainty. Executives said they are continuing to adjust inventory, product assortment and sales tactics, noting strong performance in the baby and kids segment.
Target's CEO Michael Fiddelke told reporters in May that the turnaround effort is ongoing. Deutsche Bank Research analysts said they remain on the sidelines until they see sustained market-share gains, adding that the key question is whether improved store and merchandising execution can support growth durability beyond fiscal year 2027.
The retailer's shares have risen more than 55% so far this year.
