Dreyer's recalls Outshine fruit bars over possible glass contamination

Summary

Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream is recalling several flavors of Outshine Fruit Bars nationwide after reports of possible glass fragments, though no injuries have been reported.

Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream announced a voluntary recall of select Outshine Fruit Bars after reports indicated the presence of glass in the products. The recall covers five individual flavors—strawberry, watermelon, grape, tangerine and black cherry—sold in six-count 2.5-ounce packages, as well as the 24-count variety pack. Affected items carry best-before dates ranging from May 31 to November 30, 2027, and the company provided a list of UPC numbers and bar codes for identification.

Consumers are instructed to discard the recalled bars or return them to the original retailer for a full refund. > "The safety, quality, and integrity of our products remain our highest priority," the company said in its statement.

No illnesses or injuries have been reported in connection with the potential contamination.
