Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream recalls five Outshine Fruit Bar flavors over possible glass contamination
Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream is recalling five 2.5-ounce Outshine Fruit Bar flavors sold nationwide after discovering they may contain glass, though no injuries have been reported.
Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream announced a nationwide recall of five Outshine Fruit Bar flavors that could be contaminated with glass. The affected products are 2.5-ounce strawberry, watermelon, grape, tangerine and black cherry bars sold in six-count boxes.
The company clarified that no other Outshine products are impacted and that, to date, no illnesses or injuries have been reported. Consumers who purchased the recalled items are advised to discard them or return them to the retailer for a refund.
"No other Outshine products or varieties are impacted. ONLY the five flavors of 6ct 2.5-ounce paddle bars are recalled," the company said.
The recall includes specific batch codes and best-before dates for each flavor, detailed in the company's statement released on August 16.
