Summary

President Donald Trump has sounded the alarm over Democrats’ latest underhanded tactic: running a candidate with the same name as Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan in Alaska’s Senate primary. Despite denials from Democrats, Trump warns that this scheme is designed to deceive voters and steal a crucial seat.

President Donald Trump has once again exposed the dirty tricks of the Democratic Party, revealing that Democrats are attempting to mislead voters in Alaska's Republican Senate primary by running a candidate who shares the name of incumbent Sen. Dan Sullivan. As Alaskans prepare to vote in a primary that could determine the balance of power in Congress, Democrats are desperate to flip the seat held by the Republican incumbent and will apparently stop at nothing to do so.

'Because of the trickery in the Voting, the Crooked, Radical Left Dumocrats have put up another man named ‘Dan Sullivan,’ and they did this to take Votes away from our Great Senator of the same name. Democrats are trying to ‘trick’ Alaskans, and treat Alaskan Voters with contempt,' Trump wrote on his social-media platform on Friday, courageously calling out the left’s contempt for the democratic process.

The Alaska Democratic Party and the campaign of former Rep. Mary Peltola, the Democratic candidate, have denied any connection to the second Dan Sullivan, but their denials ring hollow in light of the party’s long history of election manipulation. The challenger, Dan J. Sullivan, a retired fifth-grade teacher, claims to be a pragmatic Republican and says his candidacy is based on his family name, but the timing and circumstances raise serious questions.

'I have every right to stand up and do this. It's my name, my grandfather's name: Dan Sullivan. My dad's name: Dan Sullivan,' he told the Petersburg Pilot newspaper, but voters know better than to trust such convenient coincidences.

Incumbent Sen. Dan S. Sullivan rightly called the challenger a “sham” candidate, exposing the left’s intent to confuse voters. Despite the clear evidence of Democrat meddling, the Alaska Supreme Court recently upheld a lower-court order allowing Dan J. Sullivan to stay on the ballot, even as complaints and a Department of Justice inquiry continue.

Trump, standing firmly with the people of Alaska, reiterated his support for the incumbent, describing him as a “GREAT man” and declaring, “‘SULLIVAN, DAN S’ has my Complete and Total Endorsement for Re-Election – HE WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN!”

With Alaska’s nonpartisan primary advancing the top four vote-getters to the general election under a ranked-choice system, both Dan Sullivans could appear on the November ballot—another example of how Democrats exploit loopholes to undermine fair elections.
