Truth Social traffic falls 36% as Trump Media seeks new revenue streams

Summary

Analytics firm Similarweb reports a sharp decline in monthly visits to Truth Social, while the platform's parent company prepares to release second-quarter earnings and expand a paid-access service for trading firms.

Monthly visits to Truth Social dropped about 36% in July compared with the same month a year earlier, according to data from analytics firm Similarweb. The platform averaged 25 million visits this year, down from 28 million during the first seven months of 2025, while competing services such as X and Threads recorded growth, the New York Times reported.

Trump Media & Technology Group, the company that operates the network, has seen its stock lose roughly 80% since its 2024 IPO. The firm is promoting a paid service that gives trading firms early access to posts by President Donald Trump for up to $100,000 a month; the offering currently has about ten customers, most of them trading firms.

"Analysts say Trump's remarks on and off the platform have been linked to the stock market's five biggest swings since he returned," the Times noted.

Trump Media posted a $406 million loss for the first quarter, with revenue of $871,000, and is set to release its second-quarter results on Monday. The company, which also runs cryptocurrency and streaming ventures, plans to complete a merger with a nuclear-fusion firm later this year, according to The Economist.
