Executive assistant Natalie Harp was present with President Donald Trump during a weekend at the Bedminster, New Jersey, golf club, which overlapped with Harp's 35th birthday on Saturday. A photo posted by Lara Trump showed Harp standing behind the president, holding two cellphones and several documents.
Harp, a former One America News host, has been described in reports as handling tasks such as gathering merchandise, conducting online searches, and suggesting posts for the president's social media platform. She is officially listed as an executive assistant.
According to a letter cited by journalists, Harp expressed personal admiration for the president. Her brother, Preston Harp, told a news outlet that their upbringing emphasized American exceptionalism, which he said influenced her career path.
President Trump has reportedly said that Harp is loyal and will remain close to him. Biographer Michael Wolff noted that Harp's presence has raised concerns among some members of the president's staff and the Secret Service.
Harp was also observed traveling with the president on Marine One to Los Angeles and Las Vegas, carrying a red backpack on both trips.
