Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy returns to training camp
Eric Bieniemy resumed duties at Kansas City Chiefs training camp after a two-week absence following his wife's shooting, while the investigation into the incident continues.
Eric Bieniemy, the Kansas City Chiefs' offensive coordinator, attended practice on Monday, marking his return after missing two weeks while his wife, Mia Bieniemy, recovered from a shooting incident. The shooting occurred on July 26, and their son, Elijah Bieniemy, has been charged in connection with the crime.
The coach had been monitoring practices via live streams while his wife was hospitalized in Virginia. His presence at camp is expected to reinforce the offense's focus on fundamentals ahead of the preseason opener against the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday.
"We are grateful for Eric's return and look forward to his continued leadership on the field," a Chiefs spokesperson said.
