The District 12 Medical Examiner's Office confirmed that Victoria Zardoya died from craniocerebral trauma after an accidental fall at Fort Dade ruins in Florida.
The District 12 Medical Examiner's Office said the 20-year-old University of Tampa student died from craniocerebral trauma, ruling the incident an accident. Zardoya fell on July 24 while visiting the historic Fort Dade ruins on Egmont Key, Florida, and was transported by boat and helicopter to a hospital, where she died on July 27.
Friends and family, including Milania Giudice and her sister Gia Giudice, posted tributes on social media. Milania shared childhood photos and wrote, "Now I have to remember you for longer than I knew you." Gia posted, "Heaven gained a beautiful angel today. We love you Victoria."
Joe Giudice, the father of Milania and Gia, also expressed his grief, describing Zardoya as a member of the family.
A companion, Victoria Silberbusch, recounted that the group initially thought Zardoya had fallen a short distance before realizing she had fallen farther. She said the group called 911, used a nearby boat to launch flares, and stayed with Zardoya until paramedics arrived.
The incident has prompted an outpouring of condolences from the Giudice family and Zardoya's friends.
