Actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler honors late Sopranos co-star Vincent Pastore

Summary

Vincent Pastore, known for his role as Salvatore "Big Pussy" on The Sopranos, died at 80; co-stars and his manager expressed condolences.

Actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler posted a tribute to her former co-star Vincent Pastore after the 80-year-old actor was found dead at his Bronx home on Saturday. In an Instagram Story she described Pastore as a "wonderful actor" and "kind and loving man," adding that it had been an honor to know and work with him.

Police sources said Pastore died of natural causes. His longtime manager, Robert Attermann, said losing him was "deeply personal" and noted that while the public remembered him as the unforgettable "Big Pussy," friends knew him as much more than his on-screen persona.

Pastor’s last public appearance was in June 2024, supporting co-star Steven Van Zandt at the Tribeca Festival premiere of "Stevie Van Zandt: Disciple." Several former cast members also posted condolences. Actress Edie Falco called his death "an awful loss" and "so unexpected," while actor Michael Imperioli referred to Pastore as a "beloved friend and collaborator," recalling years of work and travel together.

Pastore appeared in the first two seasons of The Sopranos, returned for a recurring role in season three, and made guest appearances in the final two seasons.
