PK Kemsley disputes Dorit Kemsley's $700,000 wardrobe expense claim in divorce filing

Summary

In court documents, PK Kemsley says the clothing and styling costs claimed by his wife Dorit for the reality series were personal choices, not production requirements, and notes she has not contributed to household expenses since their separation.

PK Kemsley has contested his wife Dorit Kemsley's claim that she spent more than $700,000 on clothing, jewelry, handbags and styling for the reality series "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." Court filings obtained by a media outlet indicate he argues the expenses were personal lifestyle decisions rather than obligations imposed by the show's producers, and that many items could be worn off-camera.

"Bravo never required her to live in designer labels," the filing states.

Kemsley also points out that Dorit earns significantly more than he does and has not contributed to mortgage payments, insurance, taxes or other operating costs for the home she has occupied since the couple separated. He further notes that she took a weeks-long vacation in Europe without their children.

In her own filing, Dorit Kemsley defended the spending, saying she must remain "camera ready" for the series. She estimated $217,000 in costs for season 15 and about $500,000 for earlier seasons, totaling roughly $713,000 over 26 months, but added that many purchases were returned or credited when items did not fit or were unsuitable. She also alleged that PK stopped paying the mortgage despite having sufficient funds.
