The State Department announced that the Trump-signed commemorative passport, previously limited to a Washington, D.C., office, will now be offered at passport facilities in multiple states and territories.
The U.S. State Department said the limited-edition commemorative passport featuring President Donald Trump’s signature and likeness will be sold at passport offices across the country. Initially available only at a single Washington, D.C., location, the passport can now be obtained in states including Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Texas, Vermont, Washington and the District of Columbia, as well as Puerto Rico.
The passport’s design shows Trump leaning over the Resolute Desk, prompting speculation on social media that it might replace the standard passport. Users on platforms such as Reddit have shared tips for applicants who prefer the traditional design, suggesting they request the larger 52-page passport book, which retains the standard appearance.
The release is part of a broader pattern of efforts to place Trump’s image or name on government-issued items, including recent changes to National Parks passes and proposals for a new $250 bill. A prior attempt to rename the John F. Kennedy Center after Trump was blocked by a federal judge, which ruled that congressional approval was required.
"The commemorative passport will be available at designated passport agencies nationwide," a State Department spokesperson said.
