BBC documentary presents multiple accusations of sexual misconduct against Jared Leto
A BBC documentary features four women alleging unlawful sexual conduct by actor Jared Leto spanning 2002-2016, while his representatives have not responded to requests for comment.
A new BBC documentary, "Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret," includes testimonies from four women who say the actor engaged in unlawful sexual conduct between 2002 and 2016. Nine of the ten women featured speak publicly for the first time.
One woman, identified only as Isabel, claims Leto assaulted her in a Las Vegas motel bathroom in 2002 when she was 17. She says he grabbed her hand and used it to masturbate while showering.
Another accuser, Alex, says Leto threatened her with sexual assault after a 2013 concert in London, telling her she would wake up "with a dick in her ass" before she left the room.
A third woman, Clara, alleges she had sex with Leto at his California home in 2006 when she was 17, an act that would be considered statutory rape under state law. She says Leto dismissed concerns about the age of consent.
The fourth accuser, Etta, says Leto made sexual phone calls to her in 2014 after meeting her at a Los Angeles modeling agency when she was 16, and later asked her to sign a non-disclosure agreement, which she refused.
The allegations first gained public attention in 2023 when a Los Angeles DJ posted an Instagram screenshot of a 2012 Facebook status describing an alleged backstage assault. Subsequent reports, including a 2025 Air Mail investigation, cited additional women with similar claims. Leto’s representatives have been contacted for comment but have not responded, and the actor previously denied the accusations, describing them as false.
